A few of US might find this fun: Re-write some Clymer Table 1.
Both the Clymer and the Haynes ST1100 repair manuals have a table of USA ST1100 frame serial numbers. In the Clymer, it is called Table 1 SERIAL NUMBERS (U.S.A. MODELS) and starts on Clymer's page 28. The attached .pdf document or file shows how Clymer's Table 1 starts in the upper half of that page with model year 1991. (That table continues onto the facing page, page 29, and it covers up through model year 2000.)
This thread is a place where we can collectively re-write that Table 1 so that it incorporates most of what we know about the VINs of USA ST1100 models.

Re-write some Clymer Table 1.
We can start it off by splitting the USA's 1991 Model Year into two "vintages" which we can call its 1990 Vintage and its 1991 Vintage.
Then we can re-write the same 1991 Model Year in the manner of Clymer, as two "merged models" which we can call the 49-state 1991 merged model and the California '91 merged model.
(We can leave out Clymer's portions that are about engine numbers, at least for now.)

Table 1 ... Vehicle Identification Numbers (or VINs) for U.S.A. Models
1991 Model Year (as a merger of two vintages):
*** 1990 Vintage (but labelled by Honda as "1991")
********Standard ST1100 versions:
************49-State .. JH2SC2601MM100004 up to JH2SC2605MM101270 ... (the early version of the USA ST1100M model)
************California . JH2SC2612MM100005 up to JH2SC2610MM100245 ... (the early version of the USA ST1100LM model)
*** 1991 Vintage (and labelled as "1991")
********Standard ST1100 versions:
************49-State .. JH2SC2607MM101271 up to JH2SC2607MM102131... (the later version of the USA ST1100M model)
************California . JH2SC2612MM100246 up to JH2SC2619MM100390... (the later version of the USA ST1100LM model)
For other models that are Vintage 1990, see Clymer's Table 2 on Clymer's page 29. (All 1990 Vintage bikes share the same parts list, except for nation-to-nation differences.)
For other models that are Vintage 1991, see Clymer's Table 3. (All 1991 Vintage bikes share the same parts list, except for nation-to-nation differences, such as Canadian versus American.)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1991 Model Year again: (but this time, as a pair of 1991 merged models)
*** Standard ST1100 1991 merged models:
********49-State .. JH2SC2601MM100004 up to JH2SC2607MM102131... (the USA ST1100M merged model)
********California . JH2SC2612MM100005 up to JH2SC2619MM100390... (the USA ST1100LM merged model)
Since a merged model is a mix of two different vintages or years, there is generally no single, simple parts list for a merged model. Fortunately, there were only a few parts changes going from the 1990 vintage to the 1991 vintage, so USA merged parts lists do exist.
