3D printing new grips

Before i cut the crusty old grips off (or, is there a better way to remove them? I'm aware of the allen and cap that needs to be removed, but they don't want to pull off, so i'm just going to cut them off). I'm 3D printing some new custom grips from TPU. Does anyone know the inside diameter I need to fit them on?

Insert a small object so you can put the tip between the grip and bar, heating them first may help to soften any glue. Hope this helps.

I've seen an air gun similar to the one in @Willsmotorcycle's picture except it has a long tube instead of the rubber tip. Harbor Fright sells these....

This is on my list also. Custom grip and length and self appointed satisfaction of creating. I'm interested how successful this effort was also.

Can't you just buy atv grips and be done with it?

I don't think ATV grips would work on a motorcycle. ATVs use thumb throttles and grips are same diameter both sides.

Can't you just buy atv grips and be done with it?

Why can't you just buy grips made for a motorcycle ? There are many options and are really not expensive.
