Hello all.

I would like to sell my ST. Yes, I just bought it a few months ago but my riding this wonderful bike has pushed me towards the Goldwing. New tires in August ‘24 along with new battery and brake pads. New air filter and spark plugs in September. Delkevic exhaust in October. You would have done it yourself eventually. Givi trunk. Runs perfectly. I’m 68 years old and wish to have the wing. I can take pictures anytime you like. The pictures I’ll post were taken New Years weekend.

I apologize for my ignorance but my images are too big to post. My iPhone must be taking monster sized pictures.

Curious why you're selling so quickly? Top heavy? I had a 1998 Triumph Trophy 1200 and that was about as top heavy as anything - especially with the trunk on and my wife on board. I rode that 3-4 years - great bike once you were underway but maneuvering at slow speeds and one lousy surfaces like gravel parking lots was sketchy - try finding one for sale that doesn't have some lay down slow speed scratches - not very easy....lol. I had a few touring HD's after that bike - a FLHTP police bike and a ultra classic after that one. I think you'll be happy with your GW switch - I fell in love with my 2019 tour manual. I bought it with somewhere around 5,000 miles on it - too lazy to look it up right now - and now I have close to 29,000. Thinking of selling it and getting a decade or more older lower mileage GW and getting another HD in my garage to run around local with. Not that the GW is too big - it handles like a much smaller bike with the low center of gravity but, at 68 my riding days are probably 10 years or less so I'm looking for a little variety while I can still ride. Good luck with the sale. I fear its going to be a bit tough not taking a financial hit - there's some nice low mileage older ST's out there for low prices. I used to always buy new vehicles - cars and cycles and scooters but I enjoy finding great deals on well-cared for vehicles - and there are a lot of them out there.

I don’t find it top heavy at all. If it doesn’t sell any time soon the mileage with just keep piling up on it. I ride to work regularly. This week it was 32 degrees at 6am. I like to ride it. I just want the Wing. In the past I had an FJR 1300 and put 54,000 miles on it in 19 months. 198 miles round trip to work. This bike reminds me of that kind of riding. Smooth! It can do any kind of riding I want to do. I love the large tank. I do have a seat pad on it to give me a little more lift/height on the bike. This is my 17th or 18th bike since ‘89 with about 335,000 motorcycle miles total. When I found this bike I was also considering the Yamaha Super Tenere. Apples and oranges? Not to me. I loved the GSA I had too. I guess I like them all. I enjoy riding. We all do right? I would like to find an ‘affordable’ Wing with so so low miles but well taken care of.

You ride a lot - enjoy! I like looking for good deals and my experience has been there's a lot of older - and by older I mean pre-2010 Gold Wings out there for a variety of prices - some overpriced but you still have to look for what I would call a "good" deal - something you could ride for a year or two and sell for what you bought it for or more. One thing I've found is that it's very tough finding a 2012-2017 GW for a decent price. Some folks apparently think that everyone prefers the 2018 GW's and we know that's absolutely not true but - most in that range are priced high - in my opinion. The other observation is that it's equally tough or worse finding a reasonably priced F6B. You can find a 2014-5 GW Valkyrie with half the miles for half the price of what some of the 2012-7 GW or GW F6B owners are asking. I enjoy looking though and when I find one I almost get post-mortum...lol. The search is fun - good luck.
