2014 FJR 1300
Sat down at my computer this morning and opened up to ST-Owners to see what was happing in todays ST world. I was astonished when I glanced at my screen info to see it has almost been 20 years on this site. Joined about a year after I bought my new 2003 ST1300. Back then I was living in Wichita Falls Texas. Now the ST has been gone and replaced by a FJR 1300 for the last 10 years. Where are all those years gone. Some how I have missed them as they sped by.

Wow, 17 years for me..... it's nice to look back at all those we've met and had experiences with here.
16 for me and you wont find a better group of people to hang out with online or in person.

The tech days in Texas, Saturday breakfast at the Blue hangar, the boys from the Okie Highway Patrol, Moonshine and all the RTE's and Stoc events make for a lot of good memories.

I thought I was here for longer- it’s been 15 years (2009) but I did get my first ST in 2000. Time does fly- I’m PT now and work just Monday and Tuesday…those 5 days off fly by really quickly.

I’ve always been grateful for the more knowledgeable gurus here that have helped me keep my bike on the road (and out of dealership hands).

I bought my 2010 ST1300 new in 2012. The fact that it sat for 2 years with no one buying it speaks to the lack of interest in this bike, but not for me as I wanted one for a while.

Anyway, I joined soon after I bought it, so 12 years here for me... mostly reading, occasionally posting.

I stumbled onto this site right after buying a 1991 ST about ten years back. Just looking for parts on line and ST-Owners appeared on the search list. Signed right up. The repair histories and personal responses to my concerns eased the 'refurbishment'...which my files indicate (bike plus parts and services) cost just north of a small fortune. Can't afford to sell it.
Thanks for all the help.

Wow. I had no idea this site has been around for so long. I never thought to look for a forum when I had my black '91 ST1100 years ago.

I wonder if a forum member bought it? I believe the buyer was in Colorado and I was in Florida. Two of his friends came over and put it on a trailer for him.

I've only been on the forum for a little while but the vibe is great. Glad I found it.

I remember giving you a jump after breakfast at some restaurant at my first National rally. :) I had bought one of those new-fangled jumper things that was about the size of a thick cell phone and never used it. Well, until you couldn't get your bike started. :) One of my most memorable moments of the National Rally.

I thought i had been a member for nearly 20 years, until Joe corrected me.

What likely happened was, I just bookmarked this site because I've long been into "touring" and long distance rides. So i was a lurker. And someone foolishly put on the main page, words to the effect of "you don't HAVE to own an ST to be a member."

So I "officially" joined when I bought my 1300 a few years ago. I had always wanted an ST1300, but couldn't afford the new price at that time.

Still to this day, I always buy used bikes.

And I am one of those, constantly wondering "where does the time GO"?!

October 15th will be two years, yeah ok I'm a newbe here. Took me 32 years of life to get my ST, hopefully can ride for 20 more years, Lady should be run in by that time. Oh yeah congrats on twenty years .
