Selling my 1997 ST1100 because, though fantastic to ride, it's too big for me. It's done 101,400 miles but is quiet and smooth and runs perfectly. The bike was featured in Rider Magazine, having been converted for Iron Butt rallies. It has PIAA lights, Progressive Suspension, heated grips, and had a Ron Major auxiliary 3.8 gal tank, which I've taken off but goes with it. I've fitted many new parts including: new battery, fuel pump, alternator, radiator, timing belt, taper steering head bearings, final drive joint and brake pads. And of course it has all new fluids and filters, and freshly greased splines and swinging arm bearings.
I'm in North West WA.

Perfect bike for that trip and it would be an effortless ride. Everything that needed doing is done. I'm not in any hurry so let me know if you're serious.

That is a solid value! I Is there a link to the Magazine article in the photo?
Any recommendations on how to detail the Grey plastic body work? I am looking for a solution to treat the fading on my 93. I rather not paint it to have looking good!

Not to hijack the for sale thread - looks like a great bike!

The torch trick works, but it's always a bit of a gamble.

No link to the magazine article but it was in Feb 2004 Rider magazine. I found a back copy on Ebay and sure enough it is my actual bike. Meguiar's Ultimate Black plastic restorer (I got it in Ace) works well on the plastic.
Doesn't anyone want to make me an offer for this fantastic machine? I would keep it for sure if I was taller, stronger and younger. John.

If I wasn't so broke at this time I would, and I would park it at our Vacation Trailer in Birch Bay. That would make crossing the border a lot easier. But since I have not worked in over a year do to blood cancer, me got no money for a while. Yeah big boo who. Worst part your rather close for once.

You could always make me an offer, and I'd be happy to ride it up in your direction. Sorry to hear about the cancer -- I hope it's in remission.

SEM Graphite 15303 Spray Paint is the perfect color match - available on Amazon, FWIW.
You don't even have to blend it or paint the entire piece.
Or you could try 'Back to Black' but IMHO the paint is a much easier solution.

Don't do this. It brings the oils to the surface only then makes plastic brittle. It will go back to being faded and actually look worse.

Use a product like SC1 if you want plastics to shine and protect.
