1994 ST1100 Rearmudguard extension

Hi, I have a query, is there supposed to be an extension of rubber flap on the rear mudguard at the bottom. My ST1100 seems to have 3 bolts on the bottom of the guard but the rubber has gone I think, is it possible the rubber flap provides some protection for the alternator from splash from rear wheel. If so what size of rubber flap do I need to fit or are they available to buy, I havent seen any. Any guidance appreciated.

If you mean the mudgard behind the rear wheel no, not from Honda. Someone may have added one thus the holes.

If you mean in front of the rear wheel to protect the back of the engine and the front of the swing arm also no, not from Honda. You can buy one or make your own. For the price, and since you are in the UK, easier to buy it if it were me.
