Ay up, let's café. The Dark Italian Roast is ready.
A bit misty and 44 here, going up to 52. Should stay dry if a little cloudy.
We'll be off to Long Framlington shortly, a few things to get, then onto Alnwick upon the Aln for some cupboard fillings.
I'll be visiting a bank branch too, which will be a novelty. There aren't many left.
Av a gud un and remember, watch out for landslides.
Upt.

Thx Ray, think I’ll throw in some cold smoked salmon, and some warm smoked mackerel on the table.

I left home yesterday morning with a «you’re such a sigma male, ride safely» from Mrs Stu.
Was it an insult?
I don’t really care. For two days I’m nothing to anyone. Just a smiling dim wit on a motorbike.

Had the most insane ride yesterday.
7˚c/45f, grey, wet but calm.
Ended up in my daghters cabin on an this island ( they have a underwater tunnel).

Another ride today.
Starting sunny, 10˚c/50f, calm.

@Whisker Bill Hope you’re feeling better!

Have a good one!
Stu

Happy Thurzdei all!
What? More Roasted Italians Ray?
Hmmm, That's-a nice!
I think I'll haveacuppa.

Must be that time o'year with folks catching crud - Shake it off @STinner ! Love those funnies!
@STooRay I thought maybe that was a made up word, but nope! It's right next to Byrkjedal! How silly of me.
What a lovely place!

Today we have about 67 Heits on the tempometer and fog again.
I feel like we're living on the coast, or in a volcano.

I've got a fellow coming today from OK to purchase my ST.
Ah! I will miss it, but not the backaches.
I guess I'll have to change my avatar.

Y'all have a winderfill day!

good morning all. thank you for the coffee Ray. 38F on the dog walk and not a cloud in the sky, just a sky full of stars to enjoy as we walked a long.
not sure what is on the table for today. might have to make something up to keep me out of trouble. the high today should be 57F. well enjoy the day

stay safe

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the Italian roast, Ray. @STooRay, I'm unfamiliar with the term "sigma male" so I looked it up on the all-knowing, all-seeing, all-power, never-wrong infallible interweb. From Wikipedia:, I get this

Sigma male is a term in internet slang used most often to describe the archetype of a male who is a "lone wolf". While the name is a product of manosphere message boards in the 2010s, the term has gained widespread prominence within internet culture, and since the early 2020s, has become an internet meme.

Now I need to find out what a "manosphere" is.

@STinner and @Whisker Bill I hope you each get over your current maladies quickly.

It's a pleasant 62°F and mostly cloudy in Rockville- pleasant enough that I have my office window open and can hear the hum of traffic (and one crotch rocket) on the freeway a half mile away. With the leaves coming down the intervening forest is a far less effective sound dampener than it is in the summer. We'll have partly sunny skies and a high around 78- nearly aw warm as yesterday, and certainly sufficient to merit shorts and a short sleeve shirt for today's round of goof.

Dinner with the in-laws and neighbors last night was a great success.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them.

Morning all, and thanks for the coffee, Ray.

@Stoo Gesundheit!

6C with pink clouds and blue sky for the ride to work this morning. 10C and mostly cloudy for the ride home.

Cars are narrowed down a single model, but two colors (I think) and maybe the manual/auto debate. The Mrs. & I can drive both, and the price is the same either way, so it's mostly a matter of arrival time for items they have coming, but not in stock. If I want stock, my options are back and manual only. If I can wait, I get the other options.

What do you prefer?

Thanks for the coffee Ray. On my 3rd cup this morning (Nescafe Instant....sorry). Chief of Staff has gone into town for a haircut and I'm waiting in for a parcel. Weather is relatively mild, dry but overcast.

As an aside, the old lady (Outfit that is :) ) is up and running again. We did a proving trip across to the David Silver Museum https://www.davidsilverhondacollection.co.uk/ in Suffolk (including a lovely country pub for two nights). 400 miles with no bike problems, sidecar needed a bit of adjustment to get the handling right (didn't like sharp and bumpy left handers, I suspect the chain linkage was a bit overtight). Anyway, now she's up and running got to do a bit of basic maintenance - oil change etc. Can't give to my reliable bike shop because they were taken over by Completely Motorbikes recently and they have just gone in administration. But get this... the outfit was booked in for MOT with them when I got a call from the guy who had been the Workshop Manager... on his personal mobile to let me know that the shop had closed... he had just lost his job but was concerned for those he (although not actually him) had let down  Just sums up why I had left my bikes maintenance with him for the past 30 years!

Good morning, all, and thanks for the start-up, Ray.

Sadly, I think I'll have to forego the coffee this morning as I seem to be suffering from a rather unpleasant gastric ailment that's been plaguing me for the last couple of days. Not sure what's caused it, but I suspect that too much stress and angst might be partly to blame. Alas, I'm quickly coming to the conclusion that my current job, which was supposed to be my last stint until I retire (and the job that would allow me to eventually do is), is not a good fit for me. If you look up expressions like "stress-related illness," "send (one) to an early grave," "drive one to drink," etc., I'm pretty sure this job description will pop up. Really don't need this at this point in my life. So now, I have to start seriously looking...again. Sigh. One step forward and three back, and all that. Oh, well. Onward and upward, I guess.

I'm seeing an overcast sky right now, but the rest of the day is supposed to be mainly sunny with a high of 10°C/50°F with a feels-like of 7°C/45°F.

@STooRay: That is a spectacular shot!
@Obo: I kind of like the Monterey Blue Pearl. The black's OK (my car is black - only colour they had at the time), but it shows all the dirt and is hot in the summer. And I'm surprised you have the "manual" option; I didn't think anyone made manual transmission vehicles anymore! Stick shift has always been my preference - I was very disappointed when they pretty much went the way of the dodo.

Everyone have a good one, stay safe and go safely. And quit getting sick (that includes me). Feel better, everybody.

Patty

Good morning all!
Thanks for another fine start & the Italian connection Ray!
I’m still under the weather, gargling with salt water, Signal Hill whiskey and mouth wash!
I alternate every few hours, not sure what time I went to bed last night, the hot toddy was delicious!
The family is concerned, as they say I’m never sick!
Thank you everyone for your concern, I’ll be back to be my annoying self soon!

Our weather has been warm with some light rain.
WB

Mornin’ y’all. Thanks for the start, Ray.

67/72, cloudy, with showers. Can’t complain. Nothing planned for today, so a little rain can’t hurt.

Can’t decide on breakfast. Bacon and eggs, or leftover bowl of chili. I think I’ll go with the ease of nuking the leftover chili.

Black and Grey are overdone.
The blue looks nice, though.
Enjoy whatever you buy

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Ray.

It's sunny and 51, rising to 67 later.
That was a nice ride to the house this morning, except for the sun in my eyes.

The insulation inspection happened, yesterday, in all of 60 seconds or so.
The plasterer also came over to measure.
This morning, I arrived at the house to the builder's helper working in the reno. Looks like drywall...

Today, I'll be off to the barber, and then to the gym.
If the feet and knees feel okay, I'll try to take the neighbor's dog for a walk with me.

Brenda's working, today, and we'll find somewhere to go for dinner.
They're still interviewing for her position, and they'll speak with another potential employee, today.

Patty, it sucks that you've got to start your job search, again. Hang in there.
@Obo, I like the blue color.
@STooRay, I like your photos. I take some on my walks, but never think to post.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Definitely not forecourt blue.
Black without the red on the front.
It'd be classy if that was in a chrome finish.

All of this model are red. If you want chrome you have to go down a level or two.... and give up a lot of options. The Mrs & I are thinking it can be covered up by getting it vinyl wrapped :)

Stress will do it every time. I take it in my stomach, too. I've had a least a dozen jobs that were supposed to be my last one. Rats.
