Wakey, Wakey, Boys and girls. Step right up and enjoy a hot cup of Folgers to start your day. Buttermilk biscuits will be available during daylight hours.

Cold and dark, but what’d you expect at 2:45 AM in January? My hip joint decided it wanted me to get up and enjoy the almost full moon, shining on the snow. Only 22 of them little F’s, according to the forecasters. High may reach 43.

Now that I’ve had 2 cups, maybe I can get comfortable enough to catch a few more Zzzzz’s. Don’t worry, I left the coffee on the warmer, for when you drop by.

Have a great day,

John

Thx John!

0˚c/32f, calm, overcast. Last day of winterish for a while. Next week will be wet, maybe wild too.

While MIL is away, Mrs Stu is picking up her dad at the nursing home.
Can’t see how we can get his wheelchair going in the snow, but if there’s a will and so on.
I’ve got orders to make meatballs for dinner.

Have a good one!
Stu

Ah soup is working good on the sore throat. Sunday's breakfast might be Pancakes if I feel like making them, and if the wife gets out of bed in time. See you later,G

good morning all. thank you John for the Folgers this morning. 35F on the dog walk with a bright moon and some stars in a washed out sky. 58F should be the high this afternoon which should be nice to pull down the last of the Christmas lights and put them away for Christmas 2025. and that will be here before you know it.

my son got about 2 or 3 inches of snow over .Friday night and Saturday morning back in Virginia. enjoy the day.
stay safe

Good morning, peeps, and thanks for the coffee and biscuits, John! Hope you got back to sleep!

Looks like it's going to be a fine day indeed: mainly sunny, with temps ranging from -11°C/12°F with a feels-like of -16°C/3°F to -4°C/25°F with a feels-like of -16°C/3°F.
It's going to be a pretty low-key day, I think. Odds and ends will be addressed, a chore or two will be accomplished, a chapter or two might be read and homemade pasta sauce will be prepared; other than that, there's nothing major on the docket.

Everyone have a great day, stay safe and go safely. I'll be over here, puttering.

Patty

Good morning and thanks for the wake up juice . Off to a car and bike flea market ,not sure I need the fleas but there are always some things I will need to buy to store in my shop .Weather here is cold and we finally had a bit of the white stuff about 6 inches of fluffy white anow so it took a while to get cleaned up . Our neighbours came and helped shovel out all the people on our road and just wanted a hand shake . Awesome young people to help out everyone ! Any way take care and have a great day EH!

Morning all and thanks for the coffee. Biscuits sound great. Slept late darn sun comes up later in Florida than Wisconsin.
Doberman wants his breaky so going to keep to my chores

Have a Super Sunday and remember to be safe out there.

Well, I’m back and started another pot. After the first two cups at 2:30, I went back to bed and grabbed another 4 hrs of blissful sleep. But….while I was dozing, somebody stole 4 of my F’s, leaving me only 18 of those little Fahrenheit’s to melt the snow.

It does seem that the sun is rising earlier.

John

Good morning all!
Thanks for the early start John!
I’m sure everyone feels your pain!

Miss Judy & I are somewhere in the Caribbean sea, headed to St Kitts. It’s a beautiful ship. Haven’t seen any pirates yet!
Currently 69/76F with a NW 6-9 breeze.
Please pardon my bad manors, as I’m not concerned about any snow! :nanner1:
Enjoy your day!

Morning all! Dark and early again. 4C right now with an impending high of 6C and some sun to come.

Up early because our older dog dropped a load and then wandered through it and all over the bathroom. Then decided to reenact the California waterbombers while being held so her paws could be cleaned and sprayed urine over said newly cleaned bathroom (and her humans).

It was a pointed reminder that this whole master thing may just be a convenient fiction we delude ourselves with. I think there's going to be some difficult decisions in our future but for now she's curled up contentedly sleeping at my feet.

Not sure what the rest of the day will hold. I'd like to get out for another (much shorter) bicycle ride to continue with the knee rehab but first I think an attempted return to bed for some further melodic rhythmic nasal music is in order.

Hope everyone has a great day and that the crappy stuff is out of the way....for now!

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee, John.

It's 23 and sunny, going to 37, later.
The wind has calmed, and it's looking like a good day.
We have about 2" of snow on the ground, and I'll sweep it away in a bit.

Yesterday's visit with Joe, Megan, and Elouise went well.
Elouise is as cute as ever, and is much more verbal.
We exchanged Christmas presents, played with Elouise, and generally hung out.

Today, Brenda's goal is a thorough cleaning of the new kitchen, followed by shelf paper and deciding on storage for everything.
I'll take a ride to Home Depot to try to get ready for the washing machine. I need to pump the water from it up to the new drain. I'd jury-rigged the others into the pipe in the past, but the new plumbing now makes it possible to do it right.
Have I mentioned that I hate plumbing?

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Update; it's not the Doberman it's the Dachshund. Both are older rescues, 13 years old at the least. There's a third dog a 3 year old mixed breed but she just goes with the flow. Normally I'm up between 4:30m and 5am. The Dachshund has this amazing internal clock and she's up and whining for breaky a little before 6am every day. The Doberman sleeps in as late a possible. Normally chow time is 6am but because it's dark and I have not to do here breaky has been at 7. The Dachshund protests loudly for an hour! And so starts every day for me and a wonderful start it is. Next to being combined with feeding horses every morning its as good as it gets. Sometimes it's good to step back and realize how lucky we are.

Coughing fit woke me up dang it. Still dark outside, Eat , use pedal device for a while, may be fix gate adjustment, wasn't up to it yesterday, and maybe fix a Carpet cleaner, will see. Afternoon Ray & All from "weather can't figure out what it wants to do" in Southern Utah!

Currently it is 30F, a high of 31F is expected and we have been having snow falling off and on for the last hour or so. The good thing, it's not sticking! :hat3:

Well, it looks like I have the ST1100 sold to a guy a couple of blocks away. Actually I should say, I GAVE the bike away for what we are getting for it. :( But hopefully I'll have it out of my garage soon.

Just got back from church, and they guy came over and we pushed it 1/4 of a mile to his place. I warned him and suggested my trailer. I think he almost got a heart attack from pushing!

And now, 20 minutes after we got the bike to his house and I walked home, the snow is really coming down now!

A Pepsi was had for lunch!

Anyone :bl13:, and not pushing a ST1100 on the roads, have a great day! :rofl1:

:hat3:

Church this morning, followed by annual business meeting (ratification of Council members and the '25 budget), followed by potluck lunch. Nothin like a church potluck lunch to send you into a nap when you get home. The missus tells me I was snorin
Still haven't seen old man winter in our parts, just chilly temps and a bit o rain. I'm sure its just waitin till we are least expecting it, then !!!
Good luck with the repairs, and clean up. Think I'll have another cookie

Good evening,7 pm , spent the afternoon working on a Hoover Carpet and upholstery cleaner. Carpet drum's gear was cracked, glued it with my favorite plastic glue "JB plastic bond, took me a hour to figure out why the drum motor wasn't working, long story short ,there is a switch in between the two halves of the machine, turns off when you close it. Which I was doing to see the spindle from the bottom of the machine. DOH moment. Gave a shot of lube while I had it apart. Tomorrow put the drum back in. Got to see the almost full moon, high in the sky. Stars are pretty bright as well. Okay Good night. G
