I'm interested in purchasing some Oxford heated grips for my ST1100, but can't find any info on which model fits my bike.
Can any Oxford owners tell me which model/style will fit my bike?
I'm thinking either sport or touring model, but I want to be sure so i don't have to do any cutting to fit later.

I don't remember which Oxford fits, but I did buy the ones that are too short. Measure the length of your grip and go to the oxford site. They tell you how long each grip is and how much you can trim off if you need to do this. Btw, I love my Oxford heated grips.
I followed my own advice here when I bought them for my V Strom and they fit perfectly.

I put the oxford adv length grips on my super tenere last year and they were so much better than the oem ones.. plus, just connect to the battery as they have an auto shut off feature.

Looks like touring are 4.72"

Adventure are 5.19"

I have the Oxfor touring model, and they are short. The throttle lock takes up some of the gap though.

I put on Hot Grips back in Nov 2011 , they work great (ST1300). Still use whenever chilly or cold, over 69,000 miles.
Bought my 2009 ST1300 brand new, (left-over) 2010.

These grips made in USA, NH
Ken;
I put Hot Grips on my first ST1100 way back in 2000. They were well made, heated up very quickly and got really hot. The only thing bad about them was that they were rock hard to the point where my hands would actually get sore after a while. I never bought another set because of this.

Are they still like that?

I just ordered these for my new bike - they came highly recommended by the guys on the Africa Twin Forum - What's nice is that the switch and temperature control is part of the grip and is a simple push button. No need to mount a control anywhere. Koso Apollo Heated grips

Another nice feature is the built-in fail safe. You can switch them off of course but should you for get they'll shut off when the battery voltage drops to 11V IIRC. Because of that they can be wired directly to the battery if you've no need for relays or fuse boxes. There's a choice. Choice is good.

I have a set Oxfords on the ST (came with the bike), and they too are wired direct with just a fuse. Makes installation easier.

On my other bike I went the cheaper route and put Amazon no names on them. That was back in 2016 and they are still working fine. The caveat is you have to pretty up the wiring more than with the Oxfords. They do need a relay as if wired direct they'd kill the battery. No smart electronics in these babies.

Still the Amazon ones were under $17 Cdn including taxes & delivery. I gambled they'd work and I was pleasantly surprised & wouldn't hesitate to buy again.

What I like most about them is the multi-position power adjustment/on/off switch is right at your thumb position. (between the rubber grip and the hand gear.)

I went with the Apollo kit too. Does take some effort to get the on, but I really like the results.

One niggle is that I sometimes turn them on or up accidentally when I beep my horn. Not a deal breaker.

Not a deal breaker.
More of a waker-upper when you hit the FIAMMs in the garage at wee hours getting ready for your morning commute. Not related to heated grips I've done that more than once. Never gets old sort of.

Koso doesn't give a current rating. webBikeWorld said an Amazon reviewer measured 0.6A on the Low setting and 2.8A on High. They didn't confirm the claim.

Someone here thought once turned on the grips might have to be cycled up to all the way passed 5th (HIGH) to turn them off. In addition - holding the PWR button for 3sec in any heat setting will power off the grips

I bought a set of Bikemaster heated grips w/heat controller that were "On Sale".

But I will never install the grips, I'll install a "strip" style heater, the same style that Ol' Uncle Phil uses that wraps around the bar end and throttle drum. But I will be using the Bikemaster 5-level controller and wiring that came with the Bikemaster kit. Being retired and on a fixed income, I have been saving for this project the last several months. This works for me since I want to retain the Oury surgical rubber grips that I use.

I have the Honda factory heated grips, my grips have shorts in them, but the controller works fine, does anyone know of any aftermarket grips that will work with the Honda controller? Honda just wants to much cash for the factory ones
