RIP Waterloo Jay - Jay Lalonde

I only had the chance to meet Jay last year at ONSTOC, but I did have a great conversation with him. I believe he will truly be missed by many. RIP Jay.

Here's a pic of Jay with his new Wing in 2018 on the Cabot Trail.

What a great road trip that was! It means even more to me now

He loved that bike more than any bike he ever had before. There would never be a better bike, ... until there was. Every year or so that happened.

What a great friend.

Jay brought that to ONSTOC in White Lake... he and his riding crew had a cabin a little off the beaten path. I was out recruiting for the group photo, Jay twisted my arm to have a bourbon (he only had the best) around the picnic table. Talked incessantly how he liked the DCT on that Wing. Those guys wanted me to go on their "day ride" into Quebec... day ride to me was 8 hours, but they were going to Mt. Tremblant and area...... They were gone for 13 hours plus..... they liked to get on the horses and ride all day long.

Jay got the GW the same year that I got my K1600 GTL. We discussed the merits of both bikes for quite some time at ON-STOC.

RIP Jay

What terrible news! I met Jay last year at ONSTOC and was looking forward to talking to him again now that I am riding a DCT Goldwing myself. He will be missed. RIP, fellow rider.

So sad to hear this news. Deepest condolences to his family and friends.
I first heard this news on GTAM as reported by Wingboy, who is also a member there. However, it wasn't confirmed until late yesterday when he posted the obituary.

My sympathies and condolences to his family.
A truly great guy, he will truly be missed by many. RIP Jay.

Truly awful news. I never had the pleasure of meeting Jay, but have heard only good things about him. Condolences to his family and everyone who knew him.
R.I.P., Jay.
