2004 - Blue!!
So this darn bike is deceptively fast - as everyone probably knows. After a month of research, I ended up with an escort max. Way more money than I wanted to spend but then again, there is a ton of technology into it.

I considered the Max myself a few months ago but couldn't drop the coin... I ended up with a 9500IX instead. I liked the Max because it shows the current speed limit, a handy feature when you are informed someone is watching you!

How well does the screen show up in the sun?

Tell me more about the mount you have that in. I made my own mount with velcro and rubber bumpers to level it out.

+1 fnmag. My detector is the old 7500 series Escort from about 9 10 years ago. works but can't hear it and alway need to be looking at it when entering any area that is suspect.

Please give updates...

The 9500IX was on my short list. I haven't ridden it in the sun yet.

Its a cell phone holder modified and double sided taped to the dash. It should do the trick and at 10 bucks its hard to go wrong. I made a different mount however it was before I got the RD and discovered it was a lot bigger than I expected so I had to start over..

I will!! There are about 4-5 really highly rated detectors out there. I don't think anyone would go wrong with any of them.
