7 x 50 or 10 x 42 Best Binoculars To View Solar Eclipse?

It's real windy here today and I couldn't hold everything steady without the cardboard blowing away or the shadow shade vibrating and changing the aim but as proof of concept the image is about 6" in diameter at approximately 4 feet away. The wind is supposed to lie down tomorrow. More concerned about cloud cover tomorrow.

Looks like the eclipse is a go in Cleveland. When I got up this morning I thought it had been called off - full cloud cover, but now at 10:45 we have a few puffy clouds and full sun.

Set up at the watch party in Corning, AR with fingers crossed.

My dad was born here in 1915. One of the reasons I picked this location. Population 3,227 under a sunny sky.

Yes a very cool experience. My pics didn't turn out at all.

Small world Dave. I camped within 5 miles of Poplar Bluff last night and decided it would be clear down towards Little Rock. I passed thru Corning around 8 and got a great 4 minutes of totality in Conway.

No good pics of the eclipse but it was a fantastic thing to see.
