Moderation in preparing new to me bike.

They don't list the ST1300 on their website. How did you get them to do that?
Front suspension is not as mysterious as some would make out; I have had the forks and their innards apart completely on my 99 VFR800, VTR1000F, ST1100, Suzuki RF900, ST1300 and a CBR600F4i. They all share the same basic bits; a 10mm damper shaft and 20mm pistons, and usually the parts are interchangeable with just some variety in the piston porting, the shim stack configuration or the use of fixed or variable bleeds. For a pro like Jamie with an array of bits and pieces at his disposal, knocking out a bespoke set of cartridges is all in a day's work. If you get a revalve done with Gold Valves, all that gets changed is two 20mm diameter aluminium valve bodies and the specified combination of shims to provide the required damping force.
