Just watched a documentary on Moto GP, Hitting the Apex, very good program, some amazing photography, those GP rider are INCREDIBLE

I'd love to watch it -- where did you find it?
I don't have a Pluto subscription, and Amazon tells me "This video is currently unavailable
to watch in your location."

EDIT: Never mind, I thought Pluto was a paid subscription, but it's free.

One of the early shots is three bikes going into a left turn, and all three of them are just inches from each other and as they're going in you can see them just sliding the rear tire, they're way out of line with the front it's amazing how they can slide those bikes around on the pavement

More nerves than I ever thought of having in 6 lifetimes.
But I can watch.
I still miss our Nicky Hayden... killed by a motorist in Italy while riding his... bicycle?!
We have heard it all our lives: when it's your time, it's just your time.

I agree, on both points

I was lucky enough to get to road race in my youth, nothing pro, but fun, had a RD-350 that I rode in 400 stock and cafe classes (swapped pipes and carbs). Did get to ride a buddys TZ-250, 350 and a early TZ-700 (that was terrifying) and a later TZ-750. Fell off a Suzuki GS-750 (back before Suzuki made larger) that was punched out to 1000cc, when the transmission seized at about 90mph (thank God for leathers). But watching Moto GP is just unbelievable, I would have dreamed of a bike (and tires) handling like that.

I miss the Kentucky Kid too. RIP.
